Born in Hokkaido, Japan.
In 1990, Hitsujiya started singing in clubs and also performing in Tokyo.
In 1994, she founded YUBIWA Hotel as a artistic director. Since then, she has used warehouse, tennis court, Strip theatre, gallery as performance places. Performers are all female and she tries to seek for and suggest new views and images for society, world and woman.
She is known to expressions from desires on sexuality or violence or instinct for food, life, and death.She as a woman describes new mind scape of women through their bodies. And she casts the questions of "What is women?" and "Why we believe the stereotyped images of women?".
